Russia wins away, Macedonia struggling

Macedonia- Russia 3-4 (1-1; 0-0; 1-1; 1;2)

Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Mladost swimming pool. Attendance 1000 (app.)

Macedonia was defeated once again, this time by Russia, in the fourth round of the World League. The match was powerful, with lots of duels and strong defence. Both team had equal chances of wining, even though the experience was on the Russian side.

The young Macedonian team proved again that belongs in the elite of the world water polo sport, despite the fact that Republic of Macedonia has only two indoor swimming pools, both of them in the country capital. The newcomers impressed coach Nonkovic, let’s just hope they will keep up the good work.

The only negative thing on this match was the Serbian referee, who directly influenced the result of the match, with his decisions especially in the third quarter.
